Youth Development Coordinator - Mass Young Gunners
Position Overview:
The Youth Development Coordinator for the Mass Young Gunners is responsible for developing and implementing programs for younger age groups, coordinating with schools and community organizations, and ensuring alignment with the club’s development philosophy. This role is essential for fostering the growth and development of young soccer players and promoting the club’s mission within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Develop Programs for Younger Age Groups:
Design and implement age-appropriate training programs and activities for young players.
Ensure programs focus on skill development, physical fitness, and enjoyment of the game.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of youth programs, making adjustments as needed.
2) Coordinate with Schools and Community Organizations:
Build and maintain relationships with local schools, community centers, and other organizations.
Collaborate with these entities to promote the club’s programs and recruit young players.
Organize joint events and initiatives to engage the community and increase participation in soccer.
3) Ensure Alignment with Club’s Development Philosophy:
Ensure all youth programs align with the club’s overall philosophy and objectives for player development.
Work with coaches and staff to maintain consistency in coaching methods and player progression.
Promote a positive and inclusive environment that supports the growth and development of all players.
5) Qualifications:
Experience in Youth Sports Development: Proven experience in developing and managing youth sports programs, preferably in soccer.
Strong Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and activities.
Ability to Work with Children and Parents: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate young athletes and communicate effectively with parents.
Passion for Soccer and Youth Development: Deep commitment to fostering the growth and development of young soccer players.
Effective Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, coaches, and volunteers.
