Team Manager - Mass Young Gunners

Position Overview:

The Team Manager for the Mass Young Gunners is a crucial role focused on the administrative and logistical aspects of team operations. This position involves handling a variety of tasks to ensure that the team functions smoothly and efficiently. The Team Manager will coordinate travel and logistics, communicate with parents and players, and assist coaches as needed to support the team's success.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Handle Administrative Tasks for the Team:

  • Maintain accurate records of player information, team rosters, and schedules.

  • Manage team registration and ensure compliance with league requirements.

  • Handle paperwork related to player eligibility, medical forms, and other necessary documentation.

2) Coordinate Travel and Logistics:

  • Organize travel arrangements for away games and tournaments, including transportation, accommodations, and meals.

  • Coordinate practice and game schedules, ensuring that all logistics are in place.

  • Arrange for necessary equipment and supplies for practices and games.

3) Communicate with Parents and Players:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and players, addressing any questions or concerns.

  • Send out regular updates and information regarding schedules, events, and team news.

  • Facilitate effective communication between coaches, players, and parents to ensure everyone is informed and on the same page.

4) Assist Coaches as Needed:

  • Provide administrative support to coaches, including scheduling meetings and organizing team events.

  • Help with the planning and execution of practices, games, and team activities.

  • Assist in managing the team's budget and financial activities, including collecting fees and tracking expenses.

5) Qualifications:

  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep track of various details.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to parents, players, and coaches.

  • Experience in Team Management: Previous experience in managing a sports team or similar role is a plus.

  • Ability to Work Independently: Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also being a team player.

  • Proficiency in Office Software: Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and other office software for administrative tasks.
