Fundraising Coordinator - Mass Young Gunners

Position Overview:

The Fundraising Coordinator for the Mass Young Gunners is responsible for planning and executing fundraising events, seeking sponsorships and donations, and coordinating with volunteers to support fundraising efforts. This role is essential for generating the financial resources necessary to support the club's programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Plan and Execute Fundraising Events:

  • Develop and implement a calendar of fundraising events throughout the year.

  • Organize and manage all aspects of fundraising events, including logistics, promotion, and execution.

  • Ensure events are engaging, well-attended, and successfully raise the necessary funds.

2) Seek Sponsorships and Donations:

  • Identify and approach potential sponsors and donors to support the club’s activities.

  • Develop sponsorship packages and proposals to attract and retain sponsors.

  • Maintain relationships with sponsors and donors, ensuring they receive appropriate recognition and appreciation.

3) Coordinate with Volunteers to Support Fundraising Efforts:

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist with fundraising activities.

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to volunteers, ensuring they are effectively utilized and supported.

  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to volunteers to ensure the success of fundraising efforts.

5) Qualifications:

  • Experience in Fundraising or Event Planning: Proven experience in planning and executing successful fundraising events or a related field.

  • Strong Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and build relationships.

  • Ability to Build Relationships with Sponsors and Donors: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate sponsors, donors, and volunteers.

  • Creative and Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop innovative fundraising ideas and strategies.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in planning and executing events.

  • Proficiency in Office Software: Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and other office software for planning and administrative tasks.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and volunteers.
