Event Coordinator - Mass Young Gunners

Position Overview:

The Event Coordinator for the Mass Young Gunners is responsible for planning and organizing a variety of club events, including tournaments, banquets, and camps. This role involves handling all event logistics, ensuring that each event runs smoothly, and creating memorable experiences for participants and attendees. The Event Coordinator plays a key role in promoting the club and engaging the community through well-executed events.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Plan and Organize Club Events:

  • Develop and implement plans for various club events, including tournaments, banquets, camps, and other special activities

  • Coordinate with other club staff, coaches, and volunteers to ensure successful event execution.

  • Create detailed event schedules, timelines, and checklists to manage all aspects of the events.

2) Handle Event Logistics:

  • Secure venues, arrange for necessary equipment, and coordinate setup and teardown.

  • Manage event registrations, including participant sign-ups and payment processing.

  • Arrange for catering, entertainment, transportation, and other services as needed.

3) Ensure Events Run Smoothly:

  • Oversee the day-of-event operations, ensuring everything runs according to plan.

  • Address any issues or emergencies that arise during the events.

  • Provide a high level of customer service to participants, parents, and attendees

5) Qualifications:

  • Experience in Event Planning: Proven experience in planning and organizing events, preferably in a sports or community setting.

  • Strong Organizational and Multitasking Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously, with attention to detail.

  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Capable of handling high-pressure situations and making quick decisions to ensure event success.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders.
