Equipment Manager - Mass Young Gunners

Position Overview:

The Equipment Manager for the Mass Young Gunners is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the club's equipment needs. This includes managing the inventory, ordering and distributing uniforms and gear, and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and available for practices and games. The Equipment Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the club’s operations and ensuring that players and coaches have the resources they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Manage Inventory of Club Equipment:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all club equipment, including balls, cones, goals, and training aids.

  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure all items are accounted for and in good condition.

  • Track equipment usage and manage the allocation of equipment to different teams and coaches.

2) Order and Distribute Uniforms and Gear:

  • Coordinate the ordering of uniforms, gear, and other necessary equipment for players and coaches.

  • Ensure timely distribution of uniforms and gear to players at the beginning of each season.

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate the best prices for equipment and gear.

3) Ensure Equipment is Maintained and Available:

  • Regularly inspect equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working condition.

  • Arrange for the repair or replacement of damaged or worn-out equipment.

  • Ensure that all necessary equipment is available and set up for practices and games.

5) Qualifications:

  • Strong Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage inventory and keep detailed records.

  • Ability to Manage Inventory: Experience in managing inventory, with the ability to track and allocate resources efficiently.

  • Experience in Equipment Management is a Plus: Previous experience in managing sports equipment or a similar role is preferred.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in maintaining inventory records and ensuring equipment quality.

  • Effective Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with suppliers, coaches, and players.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues with equipment and find solutions quickly and effectively.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and volunteers.
